Business Analyst

Job Details

Job Summary

The Business Analyst is mainly responsible for reviewing and analyzing business processes and identifying business requirements to assist in the acquisition of solutions that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders and that result in improved efficiency, process optimization and cost reduction.

 

Key duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathering information from end users to understand the processes and business requirements of each department and the customers of these departments.
  • Analyzing processes and business requirements to assist in determining how they can be optimized using existing technologies.
  • Assisting with the implementation of process improvements.
  • Conducting research to identify new solutions that will meet business requirements.
  • Preparing reports/presentations on business processes and requirements to inform business decisions.
  • Working closely with end users and other departments to determine best IT solutions.
  • Proposing innovative and practical solutions that are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and technological capabilities to address business challenges.
  • Performing any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Certification in Business Process Management and/or a minimum of three years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc.

Skills and other attributes desired

  • Knowledge of the National Insurance and Social Security Service ’s operations, policies, processes and services.
  • Good understanding of the various functional business areas of NISSS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • An instinct for creative solutions to problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gain an in-depth understanding of critical business requirements.
