If a miscarriage occurs after twenty-eight (28) weeks of pregnancy, an insured person would still qualify to receive a maternity benefit once she has met the qualifying conditions as discussed in the answer to the first question. If the miscarriage occurs before 28 weeks the insured woman may be entitled to sickness benefit provided that she meets the qualifying conditions.
