BECOME A DIGITAL NOMAD

Remember yourself in 2018? How much you complained about your job? Hated the traffic, the dusty office, your incompetent boss and kiss-ass co-workers? You remember while you gazed upon a falling star or as you blew out the crooked candles of your store-bought birthday cake, at the office party you said you didn’t want, “If only I could work from home, my day would be so much easier!”

[Photo insert Caption] Year 2020… well if you insist/ Weren’t you wrong about that ‘ish/So young, so naïve.

Now that you’ve gotten your wish, life is packed with 3-hour Zoom meetings, homeschooling your kids, and the desecration of your household. No longer is home your secluded sanctuary away from the barely bearable stress of the office. Home has become the office! Your kitchen is now the breakroom, files are stacked next to an open laptop on your counter and every day is, “Bring your child to work day”. Now you’re wishing for a break from both home and your job! A Caribbean getaway perhaps?  It sounds fantastic but with the pandemic still in full effect, a vacation getaway to an island paradise is possible but you don’t want to lose precious days sitting in a Covid Quarantine and figuring out each country’s regulations.

However, Working Caribbean has the solution! Become a Digital Nomad by applying for a temporary working visa! Therefore, you can have an extended trip (up to two years) to the Caribbean and take your job, family and pets along for the ride.

What Is a Digital Nomad?

A Digital Nomad is a person who uses telecommunications technology to earn a living while satisfying their wanderlust. A good internet connection is all that’s required and potential workspaces can include coffee shops, beachfront cafes, guest houses or mobile homes. Escaping the mundane and experiencing the rich cultures of the world is the life of a Digital Nomad.

Although they work and play abroad, many destinations who invite Digital Nomads do not allow them to purchase land, find additional local employment or start a local business; and they’re still required to pay taxes in their home country.

What About COVID-19?

Mandatory COVID-19 Tests and negative PCR test results are required for all Digital Nomad applications. Remember that every country has its own quarantine regulations and curfew restrictions, so please research the Covid-19 Protocols of your preferred destination.
