Job Description
To contribute to and support the planning and implementation of projects, we are looking for an effective and experienced assistant project manager to deal with the planning and execution of projects. In addition to scheduling meetings and keeping track of project documentation and reports, the duties of the assistant project manager also include keeping track of project progress and communicating with clients when project phases are finished or delayed.
Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals.
- Communicating with clients and staff regarding project needs and goals.
- Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
- Supporting the coordination and management of projects.
- Reviewing project implementation and gather data on project execution.
- Performing administrative tasks such as preparing reports, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Keeping track of and reporting on project progress.
- Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
Assistant Project Manager Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of proven and successful experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Highly organised and able to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details.
