With a current membership of over 200 human resource professionals from various sectors across the island, the Association boasts the most extensive growing network of individuals knowledgeable in all areas related to Industrial Relations, Labour Management and Human Resource Development.

Since our beginnings in 1996, HRMAB continues to be the leading advocate of human resource management issues in Barbados. With a current membership of over 200 human resource professionals from various sectors across the island, the Association boasts the most extensive growing network of individuals knowledgeable in all areas related to Industrial Relations, Labour Management and Human Resource Development.

In an era where the industrial climate can be volatile and maintaining productivity is imperative for any business to succeed, HRMAB is an organization geared towards helping members adopt the best Human Resource practices and guaranteeing that they gain exposure to indispensable HR information. The association also offers practitioners the opportunity to enhance their professional status and become an invaluable asset to their respective organisations. We offer leadership roles and development opportunities for our members, and provide opportunities for member interaction and professional development to enhance and enrich the profession.

Given our mission, we aim to positively influence national and organizational policies and practices that impact the management and development of people. This clearly conveys that we not only facilitate the growth of organizations, but also ensure that the workplace’s most valuable asset, the employee, is enhanced.

As part of HRMAB, our vision is to positively influence national and organisational policies and practices that impact the management and development of workers. To realise this vision, we strive to advocate and educate; we use our voices and expertise to join the national discussions related to Human Resources, collaborating with key entities to drive positive changes and we use our skills and expertise as a body, along with those of other professionals to share the knowledge and skills needed to aid in the continued growth of our workers.

Tisha Peters

President

Tisha is a strategic Human Resources professional with over 10 years of experience and a passion for mentoring aspiring HR professionals. She drives employee engagement and builds welcoming spaces through intentional onboarding, leading with clarity and intention.

Known for bringing practical tools and forward-thinking solutions to every space she enters, Tisha stays focused on growth, purpose, and meaningful impact—whether guiding someone through a career shift or designing people strategies.

Fun fact: Tisha is a serial entrepreneur who loves graphic design, candle making, and crafting. She is also an aviation enthusiast.

Nicholas Roberts

Immediate Past President

Nicholas is a Senior Management Consultant and Human Resources practitioner with extensive experience in Organizational Transformation. His expertise spans strategic Project Management, Human Capital Training & Development, Leadership, and comprehensive Talent Management.

Fun facts: Nicholas started his career as a Chef and holds an Associate degree in Culinary Arts from the Barbados Community College. Contrary to the work he does, Nicholas is actually introverted and shy by nature.

Lisa Earle

Vice President

Lisa is a multi-faceted management professional with over 20 years of combined industry, consultative and entrepreneurial experience. She specializes in human resource, operations and administration management with a passion for strategic leadership and organizational change & development. Recent projects were focused on workplace culture and shaping the future of work, operational efficiency and service excellence.

Fun fact: In primary and secondary schools, she was a sprinter (100/200 m), excelled in drama class and learned to play the piano (briefly).

Debra Whittington

Secretary

Debra was appointed to the COM in 2022 and has faithfully served in various capacities since that time. A graduate of the University of Liverpool, she is passionate about Organizational Psychology and its role in shaping thriving and successful workplaces and fulfilled, engaged employees.

Fun fact: Debra is also a self-confessed foodie and an avid line and ballroom dancer who loves dogs, dislikes cheesecake and hates bad grammar.

Kerriann Holder-Lewis

Treasurer

Kerriann is a strong Administrative and Human Resources professional. An empathetic soul at heart, she discovered her passion for HR in her late teens, and it’s been calling her ever since.I’m deeply driven by the belief that harmonious, people-centered workplaces aren’t just possible—they’re essential. Creating spaces where individuals can grow, connect, and truly thrive is more than a career goal for me—it’s a lifelong passion.

 

Fun fact: Food is my happy place—especially when it’s spicy. I love to laugh and bring joy to those around me (though I do have a talent for getting lost, which keeps life interesting)!

Anjanette Brathwaite

Assistant Secretary-Treasurer

Anjanette is a dedicated and experienced Human Capital and Talent Acquisition professional, who is passionate about fostering a culture of inclusivity, growth and development where team members can be engaged and contribute to the overall success of the organisation. Combined with identifying and attracting top talent to drive that success.

Fun fact: Anjanette tries to eat healthy and exercise, but is a foodie at heart.

Dawn Lovell

Committee Chair - Training & Development

Dawn’s mission is to help people become the best version of themselves by teaching them how to win at life and work.

She loves training and designing programs to help individuals identify their gaps and discover the ‘how-to’ for their next steps.

Fun fact: Dawn enjoys good conversation, coffee shops, and chai-spiced frappes any day of the week!

Nancy Solomon

Committee Chair - Labour Management

Nancy is a dedicated HR professional with a strong interest in law and employment relations. She has a remarkable ability to think quickly and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Known for her strong work ethic, Nancy is also a committed advocate for fairness and equity in the workplace.

 

Fun facts: Nancy loves Trini- Indian food, particularly Buss up Shot and can be found at the beach relaxing.

Suzette Hinkson

Committee Chair - Membership & Activities

Suzette Hinkson is a Human Resource professional who brings a wealth of expertise in employee engagement and policy creation, fostering inclusive and dynamic workplace cultures.

 

Her strategic insight and people-first approach have been instrumental in driving membership growth and retention.

 

Fun fact: Suzette was once a dancer on the hotel entertainment circuit.

Rasheeda Parris-Bowen

Committee Chair - Public Relations

Rasheeda is a Human Resource Professional in the retail industry with over 10 years of experience.

Rasheeda is knowledgeable on legislation specific to this industry and on key aspects that impact the employee lifecycle. She enjoys all things HR, with a particular love for developing policies to ensure compliance with legislation as well as to improve the overall employee experience.

Fun fact: Rasheeda recently started practicing Muay Thai (Thai Boxing).
